Banks | Reassurance
Banks released a new song today titled "Reassurance" featuring J. White and Emmri Evans. The song starts out slowly and rises to J. White's rapid rap vocals over EFGBeats production as he asks his love for confirmation and expresses his intentions. Banks comes in on the hook doubtfully, not knowing how strong the relationship is and not knowing what to do. It reminds me a lot of 50 Cent's "21 Questions" where he asks if they would still be together if they didn't have the material things or if times were bad. J. White follows that with another verse asking these same questions until he comes to the realization that if it's not going to work out, he'd rather just know so he's not wasting his time and efforts. Then Emmri Evans comes in beautifully to have this back and forth conversation with Banks where they are essentially reassuring one another. The duet between the two artists is smooth and captivating. They both want to remain together and be there for one another. They just have to reassure each other every now and then that the love is pure.
The single is available on iTunes and Spotify.
